Conveyor Belt Recycling

Destroyed conveyor belts that have to be removed from the conveyor can be used again for alternative applications. Conveyor belt covering plates are peeled and granulated according to NILOS processes and can be processed to recycling products, depending on the basic mixture. Fabric belts that have been taken out of service, as well as steel cord conveyor belts, serve as protection against wear. The covering layers can be removed from steel cord belts and disposed of separa-tely. NILOS offers the complete disposal of unusable conveyor belts.

Conveyor Belt Upgrading at the Factory

For a fraction of the cost of a new belt, the customer gets a belt that is good as new, and with at least equivalent running performance. To this end, worn conveyor belt surfaces are renewed and vulcanized and built up to the original thickness on the carrying side and the reverse side. The NILOS know-how concerning conveyor belt servicing also allows the addition of one to four individual strips to a belt body.
