The book ´conveyor belts in practice´ gives to all conveyor belt users an interesting insight into the technology of the production of conveyor belts and a comprehensive practical representation of interconnected topics. Summarised and introduced are technologies and knowledge of excellent experts and enterprises as well as procedures to the state of the corresponding technology. Thomas Ziller, studied mechanical engineering and business management in Aachen at RWTH. He is managing partner of the Ziller Group of Companies with its holding company Ziller Beteiligungs-GmbH. Since 1990 in the board of directors of the association Verband Deutscher Maschinen und Anlagenbau (VDMA) Dep´t. Mining Machines; since 2008 member in the Federal Association of the German Industry (BDI) in the expert committee of raw material politics.
